The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
