The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
