The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 by those that swim serenely 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
