The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
