The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 and hastily turned away, 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
