Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it. 27 He raised it high and leveled it, 28 And He made dark its night, and brought forth its sunshine. 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 and brought out of it its water and its pasture, 31 And He made fast the hills, 32 As provision for you and your grazing livestock. 33 But when the great disaster cometh, 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 and Hell will be brought in sight for anyone to see: 36 then as for him who was insolent 37 and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul,] 38 Lo! hell will be his home. 39 But he who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained his self from vain desires, 40 Verily, Paradise will be his abode. 41 They will question you about the Hour: 'When shall it be' 42 Wherein art thou (concerned) with the declaration thereof? 43 Its knowledge rests with your Lord. 44 Thou art only the warner of him who fears it. 45 On the day that they see it, it will be as though they had not tarried but the latter part of a day or the early part of it. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
