[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection. 28 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). 29 And after that He spread the earth; 30 And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. 31 and the mountains He set firm, 32 all this as provision for you and your cattle. 33 But when the great predominating calamity comes; 34 The Day when man shall remember what he strove for, 35 And Hell made visible to him who can see, 36 Then as for him who is inordinate, 37 and preferred the life of this world, 38 will find himself in Hell; 39 And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires, 40 paradise will truly be the goal! 41 They question thee of the Hour: when will its arrival be? 42 (Muhammad), you do not know (when and how) it will come. 43 The extent of its knowledge goes to your Lord. 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth it. 45 The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning. 46
