Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 produced water and grass therefrom, 31 And the mountains He set firmly 32 an enjoyment for you and your herds. 33 Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),- 34 On that day man will recall all what he strove for. 35 Hell fire will become visible for those who would see it. 36 Then as for him who waxed exorbitant, 37 And preferred the worldly life, 38 Lo! hell will be his home. 39 And for one who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from desire, 40 Then surely the garden-- that is the abode. 41 THEY WILL ASK thee [O Prophet] about the Last Hour: "When will it come to pass?" 42 Wherein art thou concerned with the declaration thereof! 43 Towards your Lord only is its conclusion. 44 Thou art only the warner of him who fears it. 45 The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn! 46
