Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 by raising its vault high and fashioning it flawlessly, 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. 31 And solidified the mountains. 32 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 33 But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day of Recompense, etc.), 34 on the Day when man will recall all his strivings, 35 And hell will be made visible to all those who can see. 36 Then as for him who is inordinate, 37 And prefers the life of this world, 38 Verily, his abode will be Hell-fire; 39 But he who feared to stand before his Lord, and restrained himself from evil desires, 40 shall dwell in Paradise. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 What art thou about, to mention it? 43 Unto thy Lord is the Knowledge of the limit fixed therefor. 44 Thou art only the warner of him who fears it. 45 The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn! 46
