Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 Raised it high, proportioned it, 28 and making its night dark and bringing forth its morning light, 29 and the earth which He spread out, 30 And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. 31 And stabilized the mountains 32 all this as provision for you and your cattle. 33 Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),- 34 The Day when man shall remember what he strove for, 35 And Hell made visible to him who can see, 36 then as for whosoever was insolent 37 And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), 38 that blazing fire will truly be the goal! 39 But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust, 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 They ask you: "When will the Hour be? When is its time fixed?" 42 But how are you to know? 43 Unto thy Lord is the Knowledge of the limit fixed therefor. 44 You are only a warner for those who fear such a day. 45 The day they see it, it will seem they had stayed in the world but only an evening or its turning into dawn. 46
