[O MEN!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built? 27 High has He reared its vault and formed it in accordance with what it was meant to be; 28 Its night He covers with darkness, and its forenoon He brings out (with light). 29 And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse); 30 therefrom brought forth its waters and its pastures, 31 And the mountains He set firm 32 an enjoyment for you and your herds. 33 Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),- 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 And hell will be made visible to all those who can see. 36 So for one who rebelled, 37 And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), 38 surely Hell shall be the refuge. 39 And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires, 40 Paradise will be the dwelling. 41 (Muhammad), they ask you, "When will the Hour of Doom come?" 42 (Muhammad), you do not know (when and how) it will come. 43 To your Lord belongs (the knowledge of) the term thereof? 44 You are only a warner for those who fear such a day. 45 On the Day when they behold it, [it will seem to them] as if they had tarried [in this world] no longer than one evening or [one night, ending with] its morn! 46
