[O MEN!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built? 27 On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection. 28 Its night He covers with darkness, and its forenoon He brings out (with light). 29 And the earth! thereafter He stretched it out. 30 And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. 31 And solidified the mountains. 32 As provision for you and your grazing livestock. 33 When the great over-whelming event arrives, 34 the Day when the human will remember what he has worked for, 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 then as for him who was insolent 37 And who chose the life of the world, 38 will find himself in Hell; 39 And for one who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from desire, 40 indeed, their refuge shall be Paradise. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 In what [position] are you that you should mention it? 43 Unto thy Lord belongeth (knowledge of) the term thereof. 44 You are only a warner for those who fear such a day. 45 The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn! 46
