[O MEN!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built? 27 He raised its roof and made it proper. 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 After this, He spread out the earth, 30 And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. 31 and has made the mountains firm: 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 Then when the Grand Calamity shall come 34 The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, 35 and the blazing fire [of hell] will be laid open before all who [are destined to] see it. 36 For, unto him who shall have transgressed the bounds of what is right, 37 And preferred the worldly life, 38 surely Hell shall be the refuge. 39 And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires, 40 Verily, Paradise will be his abode. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 (Muhammad), you do not know (when and how) it will come. 43 This matter is in the hands of your Lord. 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth. 45 On the Day whereon they behold it, it will appear to them as though they had not tarried save an evening or the morn thereof. 46
