Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
Are ye harder to create or the heaven which He hath builded? 27 Raised it high, proportioned it, 28 and making its night dark and bringing forth its morning light, 29 and thereafter spread out the earth, 30 He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage. 31 and the mountains He set firm, 32 A provision for you and for your cattle. 33 But when the great calamity will come about 34 The day when man remembers all that he had done, 35 and the blazing fire [of hell] will be laid open before all who [are destined to] see it. 36 Then, as for him who rebelled 37 And chose the life of the world, 38 hell will be their dwelling. 39 But as for him who feared the Station of his Lord and forbade the soul its caprice, 40 indeed, their refuge shall be Paradise. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? 43 Unto thy Lord is the Knowledge of the limit fixed therefor. 44 You are only a warner to him who would fear it. 45 On the Day whereon they behold it, it will appear to them as though they had not tarried save an evening or the morn thereof. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
