He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 you attend to him, 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And he feareth 9 You neglect. 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 and so, whoever is willing may remember Him 12 (Contained) in honoured pages, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 noble and most virtuous. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Then let man look to his food, 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 and olive trees and date palms 29 Orchards thick with trees, 30 fruits, and grass. 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 Dust shall cover them 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
