He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 And what would make you know that he would purify himself, 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 to him thou attendest 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge] 8 While he fears [Allah], 9 you pay no heed to him. 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 So whosoever willeth - let him be admonished therewlth. 12 On honourable pages. 13 lofty and pure, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 Noble, virtuous. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 to yield therein corn, 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 And olives and date palms, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 And fruits and grasses: 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 but others will be gloomy 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
