He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 and who has fear of God, 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 These verses are a reminder 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 May (the disbelieving) human being be condemned! What makes him disbelieve? 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions; 19 Then made his passage easy (at birth); 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 So let man just consider his food: 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 And grapes and green fodder 28 and olives and palms, 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 And fruits and herbage 31 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 and his mother and his father; 35 And his wife and his children, 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 Some faces will shine, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news; 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 Blackness will cover them: 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
