He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 To him you attend; 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 And he feareth 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 and so, whoever is willing may remember Him 12 It is contained in scrolls highly honoured, 13 most exalted and purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions; 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 to yield therein corn, 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 And olive and palm trees 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 and fruits and pastures 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 That Day shall a man flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 for on that day everyone will be completely engrossed in his own concerns. 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 and covered by darkness. 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
