He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, 5 You pay full attention, 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 and fearfully, 9 you ignore him. 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 noble, pious. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 From what stuff hath He created him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave; 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 How We poured down water in torrents, 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 and olives and palms, 29 the densely tree'd gardens, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 Then when cometh the Deafening Cry 33 upon the day when a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his sons; 36 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 37 Some faces will shine, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
