He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 to a rich man, 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 But he who comes to you running, 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 Noble and pious. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 We poured out the rains abundantly, 25 and then We cleave the earth [with new growth,] cleaving it asunder, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 Orchards thick with trees, 30 And fruit and grass - 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 with darkness overspread: 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
