He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because the blind man came unto him. 2 How could you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself, 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 to a rich man, 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 and so, whoever is willing may remember Him 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 noble and purified. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Out of what did Allah create him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 then, when He wills, He raises him. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 And olive-trees and palm-trees 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
