He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 to a rich man, 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness 8 And he feareth 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 On honoured leaves 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will resurrect him (again). 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 and let the earth to break open 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 and olives and palms, 29 And thick gardens, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 laughing and joyful, 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
