He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 To him you attend; 6 though you are not to blame if he would not cleanse himself. 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 And he fears, 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 exalted, purified, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 then eased his path for him, 20 and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave; 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Yet man declines to do His bidding. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 to yield therein corn, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 olives, dates, 29 And thick gardens, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 his consort, his sons, 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 Dust shall cover them 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
