He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 you attended to him, 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 And hath fear, 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction: 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 upon pages high-honoured, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 Noble, virtuous. 16 May (the disbelieving) human being be condemned! What makes him disbelieve? 17 Of what did He create him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave; 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 fruits, and grass. 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
يعرض القرآن الملون الصفحات بواحد من ثلاثة خطوط عربية. قد يظهر أي منهم بإحتمال الثلث، مما يزيد على التنوع الموجود أصلا في الألوان. وتبقى الكلمات خالدة الى الابد. وقريبا، سيكون للقرآن الملون خطوطا أُخرى جميلة إن شاء الله.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
