He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 How canst thou know, whether haply he might be cleansed, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 Whereas it is not on thee that he is not cleansed. 7 But he who comes to you running, 8 While he fears [Allah], 9 From him you are distracted. 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 fruits, and grass. 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Some faces will shine, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
