He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 or he might be mindful and good counsel might avail him. 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 To him do you address yourself. 6 though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 And he fears, 9 you pay no heed to him. 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Noble and pious. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 and let the earth to break open 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 and olives and palms, 29 And thick gardens, 30 And fruit and grass - 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 Blackness overcoming them. 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
