He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 How canst thou know, whether haply he might be cleansed, 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 Yet you pay attention 5 you attend to him, 6 Though it is not your concern if he should not grow (in fulness). 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 and fears (Allah), 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 lofty and pure, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what has God created him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 So man must look at his food. 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 Thereafter We cleave the earth in clefts, 26 to yield therein corn, 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And his wife and his children, 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And other faces, on that day, with dust upon them, 40 Darkness will cover them, 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
