He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (The Prophet) frowned and turned away, 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 How could you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself, 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, 5 To him do you address yourself. 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 and fearfully, 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 Then the way He made easy. 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 We send down abundant water, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 to yield therein corn, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 olives, dates, 29 and burgeoning enclosed gardens 30 And fruits and herbage 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 Then when cometh the Deafening Cry 33 on that Day a man shall flee from his own brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 laughing and joyous 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 Blackness will cover them: 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
