He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 You pay full attention, 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 And he feareth 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 (Contained) in honoured pages, 13 most exalted and purified, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 noble, pious. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 And fruit and grass - 31 for you and for your animals to enjoy. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And other faces, that Day, will be dust-stained; 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
