He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ HE FROWNED AND turned away, 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 to a rich man, 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 While he fears [Allah], 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 exalted, purified, 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 From what has God created him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature, 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 then, when He wills, He raises him. 22 Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 and let the earth to break open 26 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 and olive trees and date palms 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 and fruits and fodder 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, 34 and from his mother and father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - 38 laughing, joyous; 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
Almighty God's Truth.
