He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (The Prophet) frowned and turned away, 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 you attend to him, 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 And hath fear, 9 You neglect. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 In honored books, 13 exalted, purified, 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave; 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food: 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 And olives and date palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 And fruit and grass - 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 mother, father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 with darkness overspread: 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
