Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 You never know. Perhaps he wanted to purify himself, 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 Yet you pay attention 5 you attended to him, 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 And he feareth 9 Of him wast thou unmindful. 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 It is contained in scrolls highly honoured, 13 exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave; 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will resurrect him (again). 22 Yet man declines to do His bidding. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 and olives and palms, 29 and dense orchards, 30 And fruits and herbage 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 but others will be gloomy 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
