He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 For him who does not care, 5 you eagerly attended to him -- 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 As for him who comes to you striving (after goodness), 8 While he fears [Allah], 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 By no means! Verily it is an admonition. 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 exalted and purified, 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 noble, pious. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 We send down abundant water, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 And fruits and herbage 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 his mother and his father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
