He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 you attended to him, 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 and fearfully, 9 you pay him no heed. 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 13 exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Perish Man! How unthankful he is! 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 Then He causes him to die, and puts him in his grave; 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 And his wife and his sons; 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 laughing and joyous 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
