He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 How canst thou know, whether haply he might be cleansed, 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And he feareth 9 You neglect. 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 So whoever wills may remember it. 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 noble and most virtuous. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 From what stuff hath He created him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 Then the way He made easy. 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 Not one – he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 [how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly; 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 And grapes and vegetables 28 And olive and palm trees 29 the densely tree'd gardens, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 all this as a provision for you and your cattle. 32 But, when the Blast comes, 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 mother, father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 laughing, joyous; 39 And many will be dust-begrimed, 40 Dust shall cover them 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
