The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 The rising dawn, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where then will you go? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
