The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
