Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
