The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is covered, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
