Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas rise, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
