The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars fall, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 that hide, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
