The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
