Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 that hide, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
