Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars fall, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 where then are you going? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
