Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 So where are you going? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
