The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
