The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is overthrown, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
