The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
