The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 The closing night, 17 And the breath of morning 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither then will you go? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
