Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 that hide, 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
